Role in Combat: [what role the class fills and how]

Abilities: Bards, as performers and sources of inspiration, rely primarily on Charisma. Charisma affects their Bardic Music abilities and the social skills to which they have access. Starting with the ability to wear only light armor, Dexterity can be important for Bards who want to keep their AC high. Intelligence grants the Bard more skill points, but with the Expanded Skills feature, it may not be as important as Constitution of even Strength.
